Botox is a neuromodulator that helps relax muscle activity to soften or stop lines and wrinkles from forming due to harsh facial expressions. Botox is the #1 non-surgical cosmetic treatment in America to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles. Botox can be injected in the forehead, between the brows, around the eyes, bunny lines (by the nose), lip flip (by the cupids bow), in the chin to relax it from dimples, lift corners of the mouth, masseter muscles for TMJ pain and facial slimming, migraines and the platysma to lift the neck. Let’s not forget hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating in the palms of the hands, under the feet and underarms.

The botox/Jeuveau units needed for treatment vary depending on each patient. On average, forehead lines will need 20 units for temporary improvement of moderate to severe lines
If you don’t continue treatments, the lines will gradually look like they did before treatment.
We advise that you refrain from exercising at least 6 hours post injections. We also ask that you don’t massage the injection area to help avoid the medication from spreading further than expected.
The use of Botox during pregnancy or breastfeeding hasn’t been studied. Therefore, we recommend that you don’t receive Botox if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You may begin to see results within 48 to 72 hours. The optimum results will be at 7 to 14 days.
The duration of Botox/Jeuveau/Dysport will vary from patient to patient. Typically, Botox will last 4 months once a patient has had consistent treatment. At our Med spa in Phoenix, we tell our patients that the first treatment with Botox will last about 2 and a half months, the second time about 3 months and after that every 3.5 to 4.5 months. We recommend that you stay up on your injections for the best results in eliminating wrinkles.

Minimally Pain: Botox/Jeuveau/Dysport injection is usually not painful. Many people can return to their normal activity without any discomfort. During the procedure, your specialist may use ice or a topical numbing cream to enhance comfort.

Pre-Procedure Instruction for Botox/Jeuveau/Dysport: Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Ginko Biloba, Garlic Supplements, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1-week pre and post injection as they will increase your risk of bruising.
After treatment, you should remain upright for six hours. Keep your head as erect as possible during this time and avoid bending down. For six hours after botox injection, avoid: Rubbing the injection sites Exercising Wearing a hat or a headband
